Wounded by Beauty:
An Exploration of Miguel Mañara Through the Eyes of Luigi Giussani
Join our St. Bernard's virtual community as we discuss the classics and faith. Our next session will be led by adjunct professor, Apolonio Latar, STL, who will lead a discussion of Oscar Milosz's play, Miguel Mañara, and how it and other works of art have inspired and generated the charism of Communion and Liberation.
Msgr. Luigi Giussani, the founder of Communion and Liberation, was a man, in the words of Joseph Ratzinger, "wounded by the desire for beauty" and "kept the gaze of his life, of his heart, always fixed on Christ." One of the best ways to understand his charism is through this play that he particularly loved. Join us as get to know Msgr. Giusanni through an exploration of Oscar Milosz's play, Miguel Mañara!
