Being a Woman in the Catholic Church

Recently the Me-Too Movement has heightened our awareness of the ways that women have suffered at the hands of men. Does this Movement have anything to say to us within the context of our Catholic faith? In this talk, Lisa Lickona will present the challenge and beauty of relationships between men and women in the Church. From with the radical witness of Christ's encounters with Martha, Mary, and Mary Magdalen to the deep friendships with those of the opposite sex experienced by Elizabeth Ann Seton, Francis de Sales, Ignatius of Loyola, and Therese of Lisieux, our own tradition offers a surprising witness for our time.
