In Conjunction with the Abbey of the Genesee,
St. Bernard’s is thrilled to announce this first-of-its-kind retreat course opportunity: a week-long experience combining the solitude of a retreat with the scholarship of our graduate courses, allowing for course credit where applicable.
At this retreat you will experience the unity between learning and adoring, study and contemplation, knowledge and love. Dr. Stephen Loughlin and Dr. Matthew Kuhner will be conducting this course alongside Fr. Isaac Slater, OSCO, the Prior of the Abbey of the Genesee and expert on St. Bernard of Clairvaux.
Located in the Genesee Valley right by the Genesee River, the Abbey is a place of solitude and beauty, lending itself to the practice of prayer and contemplation. The daily rhythm of the monks also provides order and structure throughout the day - of which retreatants are invited to partake by joining in praying the Liturgy of the Hours.
Address: Merton Hall, Abbey of the Genesee, 3099 River Rd, Piffard, NY 14533
