Associate Professor of Systematic Theology
Dr. Nancy Hawkins, IHM is an Associate Professor of Systematic Theology at St. Bernard’s School of Theology and Ministry in Rochester. She has been a member of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Scranton, PA, since 1978. Dr. Hawkins studied French at Marywood College and systematic theology at Duquesne and Fordham Universities. She has published articles on the theology of Dorothee Soelle and Meister Eckhart. Her areas of research are the mystics, the theology of suffering, and the spiritual concept of the Void. Dr. Hawkins has taught for over forty years and loves sharing knowledge and engaging with her students. She is also involved with a variety of boards and committees of her IHM Congregation.
