Balu'a Regional Archeological Project

Join St. Bernard's this summer 2022 for our first-ever archeological dig! Professor Charles Hughes Huff will lead the dig, along with the Balu'a Regional Archeological Project in Jordan.

The site it is located in what is traditionally known as the Moabite region of Jordan in the Iron Age. Other periods represented at the site include a Middle Islamic village and a Nabatean sacred structure, as well as Bronze Age and Hellenistic occupations.

The dates are: June 23 - August 4:

  • Half-Season Option A Dates: June 22/23 - July 16
  • Half-Season Option B Dates: July 9 to August 4

Courses will be offered on-site in Jordan and will include:

  • Archeology of Iron Age Jordan
  • Archeology and OT/NT
  • Field Methods
