How do I register for a course?
You can register by mail, online, or in person; phone registrations are not accepted. All course registrations are handled by the Registrar, Ellen Morningstar. Do I need to speak with my advisor before I register?
Yes. All matriculated students must meet with their advisors before registration. Non-matriculated students are strongly encouraged to meet with the Admissions Director or the Dean.
How much money do I need to pay at the time of Registration?
Students are required to pay the registration fee plus 25% of the total course tuition at the time of registration. Courses need to be paid in full before the semester ends. If this is not possible, you can set up an extended payment schedule by contacting Mary Muggleton in the Business Office, (585) 271-3657 ext. 297, or mmuggleton@stbernards.edu. Please refer to the Finances/Student Billing FAQ page for more details regarding tuition and payments.
Can I get a syllabus for my course before the first class meeting?
Yes. Syllabi for all courses are available for copying at the time of registration. They are also available on the website under the couse descriptions.
How do I get my papers back once they are graded?
Each student who is registered for any given semester has a folder in the file cabinets underneath the bulletin board at the south entrance to the lounge. Papers and other materials will be returned through these folders. Students should check their folders regularly for communications. Faculty members also have folders in the cabinet on the right. If you wish to submit papers or other materials to faculty members, you can use these folders. You can also leave them at the reception desk.
Whom do I contact to find out my grade in a course or to request a transcript?
All matters concerning grade or transcript requests are handled by the Registrar, Ellen Morningstar, (585) 271-3657 ext. 296, or registrar@stbernards.edu
