D379 Special Topics in Spirituality (Curtin)
The course offers review of and critical reflection on participants’ practice of the spiritual disciplines. Emphasis will be put on the disciplines of self-knowledge through various forms of self-inventory, personal and communal. Deepened appropriation of the historical tradition of spiritual experience will be developed through study of types of spirituality and two classics. The historical and cultural roots of some contemporary systems of practice will be demonstrated. Ecumenical and inter-religious awareness will be encouraged.
