Course Description: Introduction to the basics of learning biblical Hebrew with a view to develop

skills in the study of the biblical texts.  Emphasis on grammar, syntax and vocabulary.

 

Course Objectives:

 

            -           To provide a solid foundation in the main principles and usages of the Hebrew language as a basis for more advanced study;

 

            -           To enable students to have a preliminary knowledge of some basic grammatical, morphological and syntactical aspects of the Hebrew language;

 

            -           To enable students to acquire a basic vocabulary in biblical Hebrew.
