Welcome
The St. Bernard's
extension program in
Albany affords the students in that area enviable opportunities. Blessed
by visionary and energetic leadership, the Diocese of Albany is in the
forefront of supporting advanced theological and ministerial formation and
in-service enrichment for all persons called to ministry.
St. Bernard's at Albany is in cooperative
stance with the colleges of the Capital area. The educational support
provided by Siena College, Loudonville, and the College of Saint Rose,
Albany, enrich the course offerings in the St. Bernard's program. The
services and institutions of the Diocese broaden the matrix for ministry
preparation.
Indeed, the ample resources for research and field
education in the capital area make the Albany site an ideal place for
candidates who wish to serve Church and community in a challenging
setting.
In addition to a sequence of graduate level courses
leading to Master
of Arts (Theological Studies), Master
of Arts in Pastoral Studies or
Master of Divinity
degree, and
a non-degree Graduate
Certificate in Pastoral Studies, lectures, workshops and seminars are also offered at the Community
Education level at the Albany extension site.
Transfer courses may be arranged with area colleges
after consulting with
Sister
Katherine Hanley, CSJ, Associate Dean Albany
Extension.
